April Fools Day: What Will Angry Birds Do? Posted: 31 Mar 2011 05:12 AM PDT As you may know it is April Fool's day tomorrow speaking of which, will the developer of Angry Birds bring out an April Fools version of this game? Or will they prank us by convincing they will release a version for tomorrow at an exact time, but it does not get released? We certainly cannot tell what tricks Rovio Mobile currently have up their sleeves in our opinion. Rovio Mobile has been releasing different versions of Angry Birds for special occasions such as Easter, Christmas, Halloween and even St Patrick's Day since its release back in December 2009. This must make you wonder what they will do for April fools? When this popular puzzle video game was released, well over 12 million copies were purchased from the Apple App Store. It has also done quite well on the Android OS as well, which makes this a very addictive game to play. Whilst in playing the game players are able to equip a slingshot, which can be used to fire birds at the pigs. New birds also appear; some come with special abilities that require activation from the player as you progress through the game. Do you reckon the developers of this Angry Birds will do anything for April Fool's? |
Batman Reboot Like The Avengers Posted: 31 Mar 2011 01:41 AM PDT It looks like Batman fans can expect to see a whole new take on their favorite comic book superhero once director Christopher Nolan finishes his current trilogy, as word has it that Warner Bros has targeted a 2013 release date for an upcoming 'Justice League' ensemble movie. As recently noted over on the independent.co.uk website, the brand new Batman will have to fit in with the special powers of the members of the Justice League, which as many of you will know includes the likes of Wonder Woman and Superman. Marvel is also working on a similar project to that of the Justice League movie, as their May 2012 movie The Avengers will focus on characters re-introduced in movies such as The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Thor (due out May 2011) and Captain America: The First Avenger (due out July 2011). Warner Bros is already gearing up for the 2013 release of the Justice League movie, what with the appearance of the Green Lantern character in the upcoming Green Lantern movie set for release this June. Are you looking forward to seeing the rebooted Batman in Justice League? |
Body Image And What Rihanna Thinks Posted: 31 Mar 2011 01:03 AM PDT No matter whether you're turning on the television or flicking through a magazine, you're always going to find images of stick-thin celebrities. With so many people obsessed with their body image, photos of skinny celebrities don't necessarily send out the best message to their fans. However, you then get young celebrities such as 23-year old 'What's My Name' singer Rihanna, who according to Gyra Chan over on thecelebritycafe.com website has recently come out and basically told the world that women with curves can still be healthy, happy and sexy. During a recent interview for April's issue of Vogue magazine, Rihanna said that she has now realized that she loves her body, even though it's not perfect. Speaking about getting in shape for her upcoming Battleship role, Rihanna said that she doesn't want to lose the curves, just tone them up. Do you agree with what Rihanna thinks about body image? |
Modern Warfare 3: PS3 a Priority Posted: 30 Mar 2011 09:32 AM PDT There have been rumours that Modern Warfare 3 will probably be publicized in April. Apparently Activision is focusing their next Call of Duty series towards the PlayStation 3, as they paid more interest into the Xbox 360 version of Black Ops, whereas the PC and PS3 versions remained rather pale on the multiplayer mode. HookedGamers said that the PS3 has a big advantage this year against its massive competitor, the Xbox 360. They said that this is not only because of the sales ratings, but also the well known exclusives and the features that seem quite promising. To be honest I am also looking forward to seeing what Sony and Activision are capable of with their ideas for Modern Warfare 3 and the NGP. Apparently, PS3 users have the ability to play with their friends on Mac and PC with cloud based storage, which basically means that saved games are able to be transferred between all the platforms, with the PS3 receiving the best out of it, with Steam concerning the DLC. Will Modern Warfare 3 be revealed in April, and what are you expecting from it? |
